밀워키는 인구는 59만 6974명(2000)입니다. 미국에서 19번째로 큰 도시이자 주 최대의 상공업도시입니다. 오대호,세인트로렌스 수로의 거점 항구도시 중 하나입니다. 위스콘신음악학교(1899),마켓대학교(1864),위스콘신대학교 분교(1885)가 있고, 선사시대 인디언 유물을 보존하는 박물관,미술관 등이 있습니다. 현재는 독일계와 폴란드계 사람들이 주민의 대다수를 차지하며, 이주민들에 의해 전해진 맥주, 소세지,치즈가 유명합니다. 메이저리그에 소속된 프로야구팀 밀워키 브루어스, NBA(National Basketball Association:미국프로농구협회)에 소속된 프로농구팀 밀워키 벅스의 연고지이기도 합니다. 밀워키 다운타운에서 서쪽으로 30분 떨어진 조용한 주택가에 위치해 있으며 학교 입구에서부터 규모가 크다는 것을 느낄 수 있고 본 건물 옆에 100년이 넘은 아름다운 주택의 학교 건물이 인상적입니다. 1962년에 시작한 CMH는 남녀공학으로 현재 230여명의 학생이 재학 중입니다. 다양한 AP, Honors, College Credit 코스를 제공하고 있어 학생이 원하는 다양한 과목 수강이 가능합니다. 현재 한국학생이 3명 정도이며 학비는 2005-2006년 기준으로 년간 $7,850입니다.
CMH에서는 IB(International Baccalaureate) 프로그램을 제공하고 있는데 이 프로그램의 특징은
비판적 사고, 시간관리, 조직적 기술, 작문기술, 말하기 연습을 발전시키는데 도움을 받을 수 있습니다. UW 계열의 학교에서 IB 점수를 학점으로 인정하고 있습니다. 지식이론과 광범위한 에세이는 대학 입학신청과 장학금 신청에 유용할 것입니다.
