Social Insurance Number 는 캐나다에서의 신분을 증명해 주는 Primary documents가운데 하나입니다. SIN Card를 처음 신청할때에 수수료는 없습니다. 하지만 재발행 요청시에는 $10의 수수료가 필요합니다. SIN Card의 신청은 우편이나 가까운 Service Canada Centre에 방문을 해서 할 수 있습니다.
우편신청시:
www.servicecanada.gc.ca 에서 신청서를 다운받아 작성을 하고, 영주권 카드 또는 Conformation of Permanent Residence 서류와 함께 아래의 주소로 발송합니다. (하지만 수속 기간이나 서류의 분실..등의 우려때문에 우편신청은 권하고 싶지 않습니다.
