 Xavier는 Appleton이라는 도시에 위치해 있으며 인근에 대도시로는 Milwaukee가 90분 거리에, Green Bay가 40분 거리에 위치하고 있습니다. 이 지역으로 갈 때는 시카고를 경유해서 Green Bay로 가는 항공편을 이용합니다.
Appleton은 인구가 7만 87명 규모의 도시이며 위스콘신 동중부에 위치해 있습니다. 1847년 아모스 A.로렌스(Amos A. Lawrence)가 설립한 로렌스 칼리지와 폭스 밸리 기술 연구소가 있습니다.
1959년에 개교한 이래로 총 545여명 규모의 남녀공학 고등학교입니다.
총 학생은 2006년 9월 학기 기준으로 한국학생이 총 3명이 재학 중입니다. 교사 대 학생비율은 1:21 비율로 총 56명의 교사가 학생들을 가르치고 돌보고 있습니다. 카톨릭 학교이지만 종교에 상관없이 누구든지 지원이 가능합니다. 2005년 여름부터 새로 단장하기 시작한 빌딩은 이번 학기 전에 완공이 되어 새로운 건물에서 공부할 수 있습니다. 운동장(Knights of Columbus Athletic Field)과 체육관(‘Torchy’ Clark Gym)은 이미 공사를 마쳐 더 좋은 시설에서 학생들이 학교생활을 만끽할 수 있습니다. Xavier HS 자랑할 만한 것 중의 하나는 12학년 학생 모두가 ACT 결과 전체 평균이 24.2가 나와 전국 평균보다 월등하며 매해 조금씩 평균 점수가 상승하고 있다는 것입니다. Xavier HS가 있는 위스콘신주가 미네소타를 이어 두 번째로 높은 점수를 보이고 있습니다.
9 - 11학년까지 매년 8학점을 이수해야 하는데 Block Schedule로 하루에4블록으로 한 블록당 89분 수업으로 진행하고 있습니다.
2006-2007년도 학비는 $6,985이며 매년 학비가 조금씩 인상되고 있습니다.이 학교는 재단에서 Prestige List 학교 중 하나로 기금으로 $350을 내야 합니다. 총 관리비와 홈스테이 비용을 포함해서 년간 2만불 정도의 비용이 소요됩니다. 기타비용은 Lunches $800, Band Fee $130, Orchestra fee $130, Chorus Fee $65, Athletic Fee $100 (한 종목 스포츠), $150 (2-3개의 스포츠 총 비용), Fundraising fee $150, Registration fee $75 입니다.
이 학교는 Honor, AP 과목을 지원하고 있으며 AP 과목으로는 AP Cal AB, AP Physics, AP Biology, AP US History, AP European History이 있으며 AP 프로그램뿐만 아니라 인근에 있는 St. Norbert’s College 에서 College Credit를 이수할 수 있습니다. Honor 프로그램은 다음과 같습니다.

 ** 1998년 9월에 문을 연 Xavier Fine Arts Center 는 공연과 교육을 위해 설계된 시설입니다. 749개의 좌석과 최첨단 공연시설을 갖추고 있습니다.
Xavier에는 International Club이 있어서 국제학생들과 지역 학생들간의 교류하는데 많은 도움을 주고 있습니다. 그 밖에도 학생들이 참여할만한 다양한 클럽이 있어 원하는 클럽에 가입할 수 있습니다.
