BC주 여러 학교에서 치과 보조 프로그램을 제공하고 있지만, 저희 머피에서는 그 중 Vancouver Community College에서 제공하는 프로그램을 설명 드리도록 하겠습니다. Dental Assisting Program은 Certified Dental Assistant로 활동하기 위해 수강해야 할 교육 과정으로, 프로그램을 마치게 되면 National Dental Assisting Board Examination을 볼 수 있는 자격이 주어집니다. 이 시험은 공인 치과 보조사들을 관리하는 College of Dental Surgeons에 등록되어 자격증을 받기 위한 필수 과정입니다. 총 3 학기 (10개월)로 이루어져 있고, 이론과 실습과정은 Preparation for Practice, Patient Assessment Theory, Planning Implementation and Evaluation of Practice에 기초합니다. 수업은 다운타운 캠퍼스에서 진행되고, 9월에 시작합니다. 현재 신청서를 받고 있는데, 1년간의 waitlist가 있습니다. |
① 12학년 졸업 이상/ 고졸 이상 또는 그에 해당하는 학력 소지자
② Either Biology 11 or Biology 12 (human biology recommended), OR VCC Basic Medical Anatomy, Physiology and
Medical Terminology Course (MEDC 1010) with a C+ or better or a minimum of 64% grade, OR Anatomy and
Terminology: Understanding Body Language (PATH 1001)
③ English 12 with a 'B' or equivalent
④ OR graduate of the VCC Dental Reception Coordinator program within the last 5 years
⑤ Observation in a dental office strongly recommended

종도 필수입니다. 이 밖에도 당 해에 해당하는 독감 예방 접종과 더불어, 결핵검사에서 아무런 이상이 없음을 보여주어야
합니다.
② 첫 수업이 시작하는 날 전까지는 반드시 신원조회 결과를 제출해야 합니다.

입학요건에 맞춰 모든 구비서류를 제출한 지원자는 프로그램에 입학할 수 있을지에 대한 여부를 서면으로 통보받게 됩니다. 합격통보는 프로그램 시작 4~5개월전에 서면 통보되고, 학생들은 수업료를 지불해야만 본인의 자리를 확보할 수 있습니다.
